• Band Rehearsal Snow Updates!

  Advanced band will have a make u (for the missed rehearsal today), tomorrow, Friday the 9th at 8:00 am. Rehearsals will return to Thursday next week. 

   

  Beginning Band will have rehearsal next week on Monday at 8:00 (7:45 drop off), rather than Tuesday, due to a program in the APR Tuesday morning. Rehearsals will return to Tuesday next week.

• Morning Band and Important Dates

  The time has come for morning band to begin again! Both bands will resume rehearsals the first full week of March, next week. Rehearsal call time is still 7:45. We begin at 8:00. This si every Tuesday and Thursday (respectively) unless announced otherwise.

   

  Beginning Band: 7:45 arrival every Tuesday beginning Tuesday, March 6th

  Advanced Band: 7:45 arrival every Thursday beginning Thursday March 8th.

   

  Upcoming dates:

   

  Band Bonanza: April 10^th – 7pm @ ALJ

  Spring Concert: May 30^th -  7 pm @ ALJ

   

  Band Bonanza tickets will be distributed as soon as they are in my possession.  Due to limited space in the ALJ gym, each family receives two tickets. 

   

  Looking forward to a magically, musical spring concert season!

• SPRING CONERT UPDATE!

  The Spring concert date has bene moved due to scheduling of assessments. Our new concert date will be Wednesday, May 30th @ 7:00pm in the Arthur L. Johnson Auditorium.

• Winter Concert Details

  The winter concert is almost here. Attached is a document of call times and concert dress. 

   

  The students will be taking this home when their teacher distributes the hard copy. It is also on the Remind and website. 

   

  Dates to note!

   

  In school assembly: December 11th - during school - for students only, no guests - fun, school appropriate, holiday apparel!

  Winter concert: December 13th - Evening @ ALJ - formal concert black and white

• **URGENT** ADDED SELECT CHOR REHEARSALS!

  With the Tree lighting around the corner, next Sunday, November 26th, I wanted to write and get an update out there.

   

  To make sure our Select Choir students are prepared an comfortable with our music selections I am calling two early rehearsals before Thanksgiving break.

   

  Friday, November 17th, 8:00 am

  and

  Monday, November 20th, 8:00am
  
  Students will arrive at 7:55 to the front office (unless in morning care). We will rehearse for half an hour both days, as well as our normal time on C day(Wednesday this week).

• ***URGENT*** BEGINNING BAND MORNING REHEARSAL CHANGE OF SCHEDULE!

  This message is for BEGINNING BAND only. 

   

  Due to an unforeseen conflict, morning rehearsal on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 14th (tomorrow) is CANCELED!

   

  This rehearsal is rescheduled for WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH (THIS WEDNESDAY). Please arrive at 7:45 and be ready for an 8:00 start. 

   

  We will be having lessons during the school day on Tuesday, November 14th. If you have a lesson on a "B day" you will still have your lesson during school. 

   

   

  We will have the same flip next week as well.

   

   Morning rehearsal on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21st is CANCELED!

   

  This rehearsal is rescheduled for WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 22nd. Please arrive at 7:45 and be ready for an 8:00 start. 

   

  Remember the concert is coming up in just four weeks! All students have learned all of their selections for the concert during their lessons. Their practice is crucial to concert success! make sure you are filling out those charts and getting in those 15 minutes five-six days a week!

   

  Check and make sure students fit in their concert black and white!

   

  Thank you for your flexibility. I am looking forward to our concert on December 13th!
